On Bosch's current US standalone induction-cooktop support surface, F2, F4, and E7015 share one meaning: the electronics overheated and the corresponding cooking zone switched off. This group identifies the protective state, not whether installation heat, cooling performance, temperature sensing, or a power-electronics condition caused it.

Do Not Merge F2/F4/E7015 With F5

Bosch lists F5 separately for hot cookware near the control panel. Moving a pan away from the controls is relevant to F5; it does not explain an F2, F4, or E7015 message. Record the exact characters before clearing anything.

Safe Checks That Change the Diagnosis

  • Photograph the code first: Capture F2, F4, or E7015, the corresponding zone, and active neighboring zones before touching controls.
  • Let the electronics cool: The corresponding zone is already off. Do not accelerate cooling with water, ice, or forced disassembly.
  • Acknowledge after cooling: Touch any control element once the electronics have cooled, as Bosch directs.
